The 26th Golden Disk Awards was held in Osaka, Japan on the evening of the 11th, presenting the awards for the physical album category.
At the awards ceremony on that particular day, Super Junior became the winner of the Best Selling Act in terms of physical sales, and had received the “Statue of a Reed Instrument-playing Woman” trophy*. They set the record of the most number of albums sold, selling 479,329 copies of their 5th studio album “Mr. Simple” which was released last year.

They sold a total of 100,000 copies of their 3rd studio album “Step”, and were able to sell approximately 1 million copies of their 4 singles and full-length studio album which were released in Japan.
BEAST, who won the Newcomer Award at the 25th Golden Disk Awards, managed to bag the Bonsang award and the Ceci K-Pop Icon Awards this year, also grabbing two titles that night. They have shot to the super star status with the release of “Fiction & Fact”.
CNBLUE’s happiness was amplified, winning the Bonsang award for the physical sales category for two years in a row. Meanwhile, Infinite, MBLAQ, Jay Park and f(x) have also left their names on the history of the Golden Disk Awards.
